Maps and more below.
As we've been reporting, hit-and-runs aplenty have taken place in Denver and Boulder of late, several with fatal consequences. But yesterday (when a storm system rolled into the area) saw an unprecedented number of such crashes: four in less than 24 hours, with two resulting in deaths.

Look below to get information about each incident, including interactive graphics showing the areas near the scenes; if you have problems seeing the images, click "View Larger Map."

Number 4: Colfax at I-25

Result: One fatality

Here's are two Denver Police Department tweets about the incident:

Number 3: Colfax at Quentin, Aurora

View Larger Map

Approximate time of incident: 2:43 a.m. Sunday, April 13

Result: One fatality

An Aurora Police Department release about the incident reads in part, "According to a witness, the male victim was lying in the left through lane when an eastbound white Suburban or Tahoe type SUV ran over him. The SUV continued a short distance to the east, made a u-turn, drove slowly back past the scene and then left the area westbound. The SUV was driven by an unknown person and there was possibly a Hispanic female passenger."

A witness saw the Texas license plate on the vehicle in question. This evidence likely helped inspire the thus-far-unnamed female driver and a female passenger to turn themselves in to authorities. The APD quotes them as saying the person they struck was laying in the roadway; at first, they reportedly thought they hit a "bundle," and when they realized differently, they fled out of fear.

Continue to learn about two additional hit-and-run crashes that took place in the metro area yesterday, including maps, tweets and images.

Because no one takes the damn laws serious anymore and vice versa! We don't care for cops, and cops don't care for us. You see serial rapists, child molestors, murderers and horrible horrible people commit these awful crimes, and get a damn SLAP ON THE HAND. people would drive more cautiously if they understood the dangers and consequences of not paying attention!

One of those was because a dude was laying down in the road. That's not a hit-and-run; THAT IS A DUDE LAYING DOWN IN THE ROAD.

It doesn't matter what race you are.. These days people are selfish as fuck, they don't give a shit and they do what they want. People these days have no soul and don't care who they hurt.

I don't think @William was being racist. He was being stereotypical. Well sometimes those stereotypes fit.

Not in today's climate. It's better to say "not to be racist" because of all the tools who use race back at you when it was no where in the equation. Politicans are masters at this...did that sound racial - MASTER?

P.S.  WW -- thanks so much for ignoring my comments about encumbering browsing here by making it impossible to use the "back" button (once) to return to the main page.  The pace at which new copies of the page are being inserted into the browser's history appears to have increased.  The solution, of course, is simply to click on the link, as opposed to trying to use the browser's controls, but your website is becoming progressively less user-friendly.  I would like to know what possible advantage accrues; it seems counterproductive to detail Michael to try to encourage every new posters with disingenuous compliments while you make the website itself more and more clunky.

People scared of getting dui for thc in there system even though they may not have smoked that day. There needs to be better test to tell how long ago the thc was consumed.

Your post is proof of that.

A lot of people agree with you about that, Jason. Thanks for weighing in.

@RiverSwimmers  ... grant them amnesty and they won't be "illegal".

Problem solved.

@DonkeyHotay  I hardly expected WW to fix the problem, but I would like to know what conceivable purpose is served by constantly refreshing pages in the background (and multiplying copies of them in browsers' histories).

@DonkeyHotay If you are here illegally your chance of being deported are LESS than 1%. Amnesty has already been granted, however , parasites continue to suck blood regardless.

@DonkeyHotay  Shall we then grant the entire world amnesty?

Are you going to personally take responsibility for supporting them?

1) not quite millions

2) easy $$, since the cost is passed on to patients / users stupid enough to patronize them.

3) even with the click / page view frauds, they still see positive, though diminished returns, or they stop advertising. Ipso facto.

RobertChase
RobertChase topcommenter

@DonkeyHotay  If advertisers are being defrauded by websites falsely generating new page views, one would think they would sue or stop advertising on websites committing that fraud.  Why not repeat the process every five seconds or even more often then, if each automatic page refresh generates more revenue?

DonkeyHotay
DonkeyHotay topcommenter

@FTheConstitution ... sucks to be such a loser white-trash slacker that any one of those non-English speaking, uneducated parasites can not only take your job, but do it better for less $$, don't it chump?

I am perplexed as to how someone so eternally ignorant and freaking stupid can also be arrogant.  I guess it is a manifestation of "too stupid to know you are stupid".

Seriously, these pages are not for you.  Most contributors to the forum have at last average intelligence.

You are a fucking moron!

fishingblues

@muhutdafuga @fishingblues  No, what I'm saying is ..........

JAZUS! You are stupid.

Wow, it was only four little words and it still sailed over your fat head.

You need to find the short bus forum.

@fishingblues @muhutdafuga@DonkeyHotay@RobertChaseSomehow you left out the "c."  If you lived in a fat free zone, you would die instantly.  Maybe that "c" is what you dreamed of achieving in biology class.  Fat free zone, what an idiot.

No, you live in a fact free zone.  You have fantasies about other posters, then you somehow think your fantasies are interesting.  They are certainly not topical.

Cult daddy, or "diddy" as posted to manipulate you, is loosely on the work by John Dean, Conservatives Without Conscience.  Now you seem to perseverate on "ebonics."  Many conservatives seem to have race issues.

So now you are the quotation mark Nazi?  Is that the best you have?

It's people like you that would attempt to blame the victim in the hit and run cases.  That is the topic, isn't it?  It seems you confuse your "odd" "little" "fantasies" "about" ""me" "with" "the" '''topic'''.''''

@muhutdafuga @fishingblues @DonkeyHotay @RobertChase

Yes I do operate in a fat free zone.  You can too if you stop feeding your fat face and get a little exercise.

"cult diddy"  is that more ebonics?   And while we are on the subject of your illiteracy, ignorance and general stupidity, why did you feel the need to erroneously put 'awful' in quotes?

muhutdafuga
muhutdafuga topcommenter

@fishingblues @DonkeyHotay@RobertChaseYou operate in a fact free zone.  You are what the conservative cult has degenerated into, a cult of liars, pedophiles, and corporate whores.

Exactly what don't you like about the Affordable Healthcare Act, besides your cult diddy telling you how "awful" it is?

@DonkeyHotay @fishingblues @RobertChase

Golly stinky, I wonder if the onerous restrictions of the FDA and our overbearing federal government have anything to do with seeking medical care elsewhere.  With the abortion "obamacare", it will get much worse.

DonkeyHotay
DonkeyHotay topcommenter

@fishingblues @DonkeyHotay @RobertChase

Patients Beyond Borders' editors define a medical traveler as anyone who travels across international borders for the purpose of receiving medical care.

With these variables in mind, we believe the market size is USD 38.5-55 billion, based on approximately eleven million cross-border patients worldwide spending an average of USD 3,500-5,000 per visit, including all medically-related costs, cross-border and local transport, inpatient stay and

accommodations.

We estimate some 1,200,000 Americans will travel outside the US for medical care this year (2014).

You really are dumber than a bucket of dirt, aren't you moron?

DonkeyHotay
DonkeyHotay topcommenter

@fishingblues @RobertChase

As of 2009, there are over 6 million non-military U.S. citizens living abroad., an increase from the 4 million estimated in 1999.

MILLIONS and MILLIONS of Americans streaming across the border into OTHER countries to live and work.

@fistingblues "why are millions upon millions streaming across our borders?"

Because it's the closest border to them?

You really think if Mexico also shared a border with Europe those economic refugees -- of U$ foreign and economic warfare policies -- would still choose Texas or Arizona instead of France, Germany or The Netherlands?

LOL!

fishingblues

@DonkeyHotay @fishingblues  If the USA is as horrible as America haters like you profess it to be, why are millions upon millions streaming across our borders?
