Reader: Rich people have less crime? Shocking!

Our post about the ten safest neighborhoods in Denver as judged by the total number of crimes as listed in Denver Police Department data from 2009 to 2013 drew a voluminous response from readers, many of whom found the roster predictable. Here's one example.

Oh. I get it. Be wealthy and you'll have less crime. Thanks for going through all of the data to teach this valuable lesson.

Because wealthy people steal from poor people as part of their jobs, which are mostly downtown... bankers, developers, politicians, etc. By the end of day they're just too tired from expropriating other people's wealth to do anything else but drink champagne and watch an episode of Girls.

It all comes down to the people living in the community to stand up to the bad elements. Its been done plenty of times.

"stabilize the poor communities from crime" = lmao. start at 9:00am tomorrow morning… by 9:07am they'll be saying the police are "racist".

Clearly it's because wealthy people can afford to live in gated communities with heightened security. Also, these communities have much less people living in them because their houses are so huge.

Not less crime statistically, just different types.

Seriously, you have to ask that question? Maybe you should be asking why we aren't helping to stabilize the poor communities from crime.

I think it's because the police force thinks that the rich pay taxes so they are "protected". But only because most cops were the high school special edition of people who only hope was a job where they "serve" an protect dem $$ though #usa

The more I interact with radical liberals the more I realize that liberalism is based on nothing more than jealousy and an extreme inferiority complex.
