Tom Martino during a recent 9News interview.
Our posts this week about radio personality Tom Martino, who pleaded guilty to a disturbing-the-peace charge in regard to a December incident involving his wife, Holly, found the self-proclaimed Troubleshooter asking the public not to assume he's angry or violent based on his aggressive persona as an on-air consumer advocate. But he didn't get a lot of support from readers, including one who saw recent negative headlines as karmic comeuppance.

Louis Cruz Jr. writes:

He loves getting in everyone else's business. How does it feel!!

I have known him for years....he is a pompous ass....he is feeling the repercussions of his actions and that is it....don't feel bad for him...he got drunk and lost his temper with holly...bottom line....he made his bed and now he has to lay in it! I have waited for the day since he lied to me as a 7th grader and job shadowed him...u reap what u sew

Once was, never will, or will be ever.

He was a small time tv personality on a Fox affiliate in Tampa Bay back in the 80s. He always struck me as a fairly complicated man with a huge chip on his shoulder.

Apparently for him to say your business was good you just had to pay him so not a great guy.

Him and his wife deserve all the shit pies they get for their stupidity! This man is a piece of crap on and off air!! He is arrogant, hypocritical and just plain NASTY!!

He's trying to use the old 'she walked into my fist' defense. That's very telling. And if he doesn't want people in his business he should stop putting them there. I was objective, not knowing the full story. Now that he's gone public with his version, smearing his wife's name in such a sweeping way, I'm totally on her side and think he is an abuser.

If you spend your life chasing after people just to show the world how good you are, and how bad they are, you better make damn sure your own life is on the up and up. Hows that shit sandwich taste lil Tommy boy? Short man, Napoleon syndrome at its finest.

He buys an $12,000,000 home for $8,000,000 and files bankruptcy the following year. Good business decision for himself and his wife? Karma coming back at him.

I cant stand this man. He makes a living getting in everyone elses business and if given the chance he will extort you. Try that with a business like mine Tom. I will legally open up a excavation company and burry you.

I knew a few business owners that told me he was arrogant and demanding. Thought he could go into a business and get the lowest price because of his show. It bordered on extortion. I agree fuck him!

That is his private life and should be kept that and dealt with by family not public.

Tom Martino is a staple in Denver and always will be. Everyone get a taste of their own medicine at one point or another. Everyone also makes mistakes.

Martino's facial hair treatment, like Joe Nacchio's, made me glad I've returned to shaving.

This is a very minor character, so I imagine the person who was excited by this is a one who revels in others' misery. I choose, instead, to live productively, so no I don't agree.

He helped me once, with a very sticky consumer problem, about 20 years ago. I learned a lot from his troubleshooter radio show. That aside... Marriages go thru tough patches... I guess he feels he has to clear his name, or reputation by airing the dirty laundry... And trashing his ex publicly. Note to Tom: Dial back that ego. Get back to work helping people. Redeem your rep thru your actions... Not thru tv interviews.
