Number 10: 20th St & Blake St at the corner of Coors Field, Denver

The cops stand there on the sidewalk with lasers devices and pull over everyone in the right lane by pointing at them. The cop accused me of going 40 in a 25. There is no way. I had a whole defense put together but it just got tossed. Stay going 20 on 20th street!!!!
Number 9: Offramp southbound onto Titan Parkway from Southbound Hwy 85, Littleton

As you exit Hwy 85 southbound, you ascend a ramp to a stop sign. The police wait to the east across the bridge, watching for cars to fail to stop. If you roll though the stop sign they will nail you. The hypocrisy: the week after I was ticketed, I watched a Douglas County Sheriff's car roll through the very same stop sign without stopping! (Naturally, I was delighted!)

Generally speaking, the SF Bay area in CA doesn't have speed traps due to the higher population. The traffic usually speeds 10-15 (where possible), and also because the cops focus more on real crime, not BS ones. :)

285 between Morrison and Indian Hills is by far worse than C470. Morrison cops use profiling and pull over luxury vehicles more than anything else. 90 percent of Morrison's revenue is generated from this. The majority of their police force are interns (free)..

Their traps go beyond speeding. Arvada poaches I-70 by sitting off the road stopped with their lights on. Regardless of the 6 feet off the road they are, will pull anyone over for not giving them a full lane. It's an automatic court date on a 4-point ticket. Really freaking pathetic and a safety hazard to be abusing emergency signals without cause. Police will never have my respect. All they do is rove around in government sanctioned gangs instilling fear and extorting money. On the ticket it doesn't list your speed or anything. Even though I was 10 mph under and got as far over in my lane as possible safely, I have to fight the ticket on my word alone.

Don't care. Don't speed, don't get tickets. Why do we have laws for then, wiping our @$$ es?

where brighton turns into broadway, just as you go under the bridge heading into the city. I see them there, on foot, almost every time i drive past. Drops from 35 to 30 as you go downhill. It's almost unfair but they are there so often it's expected.

How about the entire span of Peña Blvd...I see them out there everyday pulling people over who are late for their flights

Highway 285 at Indian Hills didn't make the list? Morrison "cops" have people pulled over all day, everyday.

I was waved over by the one off of 29th & Zuni after turning onto 29th (from Zuni) along the side of North HS. I was driving the regular speed limit b/c there were no flashing lights indicating an active school zone at the time and there were NO kids present whatsoever. The cop was a complete @ss about it despite those factors. There is also a spot on N. Sheridan somewhere between Florida & Alameda where there is often a radar van parked, been popped there before.... def keep an eye out if in that area, especially given the ridiculously low speed limit on that stretch, easy to exceed it even if driving a reasonable speed.

I bet you're perfect and never accidentally speed. Cops are a gang. Threats and murder are less important than speeding to cops because speeding gives them more money.

Aurora's chief revenue officers. Its like a APD laser light show on Airport Blvd every day.

The sole reason behind the existence of the Morrison P.D, is revenue generation.  Bunch of "Barney Fife's"!  The corner of Alameda and Sheridan is pretty bad too.

Bullshit article. You don't get tickets going 'under' the speed limit. Put your phone down and drive. It's the only thing you should be doing behind the wheel. Drive.

An your misfortune is you broke the law .

Jay Breese

The emphasis is not breaking the law as much as the shady way revenue is made by cops. They are there to serve and protect and not to lay waiting to pounce on you for inadvertently going too fast. This makes them no different than gangster thugs trying to make a buck from your misfortune.

The Titan Rd. trap and the one on 104th also double as favorites for "random" DOT inspections

Thornton loves trapping people at I-25 and Thornton Parkway.

You forgot eastbound I-70 right past the I-25 merger ramp right before the denver coliseum. I see them out there almost daily with the radar gun pulling people over.

also on Southbound Syracuse in Stapleton, there's a motorcycle cop that clocks right past the schools around 23rd

The pigs are to dumb to catch any real criminals. So speed traps are there answer. Shooting fish in a barrel is easy. Making revenue for the city is the only thing thing they can do

Watch out for motorcycle cops in Thornton, they'll pull you over for any shit! Got my first speeding ticket last week :)

Morrison, both town and 285. They mean those speed limits.

Columbine Country Club. They have their own force, and they do nothing but pick up speeders on Platte Canyon Ave. between Bowles and Mineral. AND these guys harass people.

Virgil Dunn literally butt hurt by Ryan Fox comment! Hahaha Virgil probably drives a prius and enjoys a rainbow parade up his high traffic tunnel...

Eastbound I-70 just past Peña. They sit on the long on-ramp just before the Airport Blvd exit. Three tickets there in 2 years.

Morrison 285 and colfax and federal are the worst

Too bad for you, traffic violations are considered CIVIL infractions as opposed to actual CRIMINAL offenses. Internet lawyer FAIL.

Virgil Dunn

Yup. They are giving motorists plenty of warning. Yet, these supposedly "educated" yuppie-hipster-douches complaining here and elsewhere on the Interwebz apparently either cannot read or actually believe they are too important and "need" those measly few milliseconds they would save from not utilizing common fucking sense.

Dry Creek and Easter. That's where I live. I was walking to Southglenn and saw 5 cars pulled over at noon time. It's usually during school hours, so be careful there.

I will say though, they usually deserve it. People drive way too fast there for no reason. There's a school and a lot of pedestrians. I've nearly gotten hit there at least twice. The person driving below the speed limit deserves a gold star.

So, consider yourself warned. I always tell friends driving to my place to drive the speed limit and no one I know has gotten ticketed there. I wish they'd pull more people over at night when it really gets crazy, but I don't think there's any money in that.
