Meet the winners of the 2013 Westword Web Awards

Nominees and friends packed into Galvanize on December 5 for the 2013 Westword Web Awards, Westword's annual celebration of the most interesting Denverites on the Internet. With MC Jordan Doll at the helm, we handed out 21 awards across four categories, from the Best Music Video to the Best Politician on Social Media, all chosen by our readers, plus one special achievement award.

Of course you're invited to Westword's #DenWeb2013 on Thursday

Westword again will honor the top creatives and social media personalities on the local web with its Web Awards party this Thursday night. Winners in more than twenty categories with be fĂȘted, tweeted and favorited -- with the entertainment you'd expect at a party thrown by this town's alt-weekly.

Starting at 7 p.m., Thursday, December 5, we're taking over Galvanize (1062 Delaware Street, just off Speer Boulevard), where we'll honor the top chefs, musicians, athletes, and other personalities on the local web. You're invited, of course -- just make sure you charge your phone before leaving.

Last month we asked readers to send us suggestions for the Denver news and sports worlds' best representatives on social media for our 2013 Denver Web Awards. (If you're on the list and haven't received an invitation, get in touch). Now's your last chance to decide who wins top honors.

Here's how it works: We've put the top three to five nominees in each category on our web poll, where you can vote for your favorite candidate in Best Athlete on Social Media, Best Cause on Social Media and more. You can vote in a few categories, or in all. Either way, your input will help decide who takes home the prize.
