While Keystone and Copper were celebrating their respective openings over the weekend, Arapahoe Basin, which opened on October 9, was giving their guests more terrain to ski.

On Saturday, the Basin opened the Norway lift, offering top-to-bottom skiing via Lenawaee Face and Dercum's Gulch on the upper mountain, and Ramrod and High Noon on the lower mountain. All of the trails are intermediate runs. Skiers raced to be the first ones to get up Norway on Saturday morning under clear blue skies, and enjoyed the groomed runs all day long on a spring-like day.

The Basin hopes to open beginner terrain in the coming weeks on the Molly Hogan lift and the Sundance trail, weather permitting, and will open advanced terrain as the snow falls.

With four resorts already open and Breckenridge slated to open this week, enough terrain is available that the lift lines are now moderate on the weekends.
