Photos: Men's FIS World Cup at Beaver Creek
The Men's FIS World Cup went down at Beaver Creek on Friday. Photographer Scott Limbird was there. Here's his dispatch: ![]()
American Andrew Weibrecht, "the Workhorse," celebrates after a successful first run, helping him to a 19th place finish in the Combined.
American favorites Ted Ligety and Bode Miller both put up pretty good downhill times at Friday's Men's FIS World Cup races at Beaver Creek -- and then both failed to finish the slalom half of the race. Thus, they didn't place at all. Guess all that ice got to them. The third American skier, Andrew Weibrecht, finished 19th -- not bad considering the best racers in the world were here.
More photos after the jump.
