Psst, wanna get married, but can't settle for giving up day of skiing during the season? Wanna ski for free? Loveland, appropriately, has the answer. This Sunday, February 14, Valentine's Day (again, ridiculously sappy and appropriate), Loveland will host its 19th Annual Mountaintop Matrimony Ceremony. Couples are always looking for the perfect place to get married, and what could be more beautiful than at 12,050 feet in the mountains? The ceremony is actually held at the Ptarmagin Roost Cabin. Couples are eligible for "two-for-one" lift tickets and lunches.
The event is open both to people wanting to get married and those looking to renew their vows, and those who are interested must sign up before 11:30, though couples are encouraged to pre-register by February 12. Those getting married, as opposed to renewing vows, must get a valid Colorado Marriage License and bring it to the ceremony so it can be signed.

Couples are encouraged to be creative with their wardrobe, and a best dressed prize, consisting of honeymoon prize, is awarded to the couple who wears the best "ski wedding" attire.

After the mass ceremony, which lasts approximately 30 minutes and starts at noon, an after party starts at 1:30, so couples and guests have time to grab a run or two before heading to the base area to enjoy wedding cake, wine, cider, and beer.

There are no snowmobile rides or chairlift rides down from the wedding ceremony, so both couples and guests need to be able ski or snowboard down.
