10 things to do for $10 this weekend, November 5-7, 2010
It's the start of a big week for film buffs, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of non-movie related activities to partake in this week. Of course, if you're inclined, you can certainly weasel your way into a few of the films for the Starz Denver Film Festival. If you're not, you'll be able to do tons of fun stuff, from learning about Ronald Reagan to dressing up like a lumberjack.
Starz Film Festival at Various Theaters (Friday-Sunday November 14)
You've got a lot of films to choose from this weekend, any of which you can get into for around $10 if you play your cards right. A couple highlights include The Magnificent Seven, M*A*S*H and many, many more. Ticket prices fluctuate depending on the venue, time and film, but DFS members will get in for $10, and almost all the Boulder showings are the same.
Denver Arts Week, Denver Metro Area (Friday-Saturday November 13)
For a lot of people, Denver Arts Week is a non-starter -- they know Denver is filled with awesome art every single week. Still, some people don't realize how great the arts scene is here. If you're one of those people, you might want to hit up Denver Arts Week and learn about all the things Denver has to offer. You'll get free admission to a bunch of different museums -- but if beer is more your thing, you can skip over to Golden on Saturday for a free tour of the Coors Brewery and get free samples.
Colorado Ski and Snowboard Expo at Colorado Convention Center (Friday-Sunday, $10 with coupon)
You'll have to get yourself the free coupon linked above if you want to get in for $10, but once you do, you'll be privy to some kickass deals on tons of ski and snowboard gear. Obviously, if want to buy anything you'll be going well over $10, but at least you'll be able to get in on the cheap.
