Boeing's 787 "Dreamliner" has been a public relations disaster. Rolled out in 2007, the plane was billed as the future of air-travel: a sleek, efficient long-distance jetliner made with composite materials that consumes 20 percent less fuel than carriers of a similar size. Three years later, due to myriad materials and development problems, a single 787 has yet to fly; at this point, Boeing could use a little PR love. In many ways, Legends of Flight 3D is exactly that -- several critics have called it something to the effect of "a protracted Boeing infomercial" -- but if that's the case, it's still guaranteed to be about the baddest-ass infomercial you've ever seen.

After all, it's a pretty simple equation: IMAX+3D=AWESOME, and it doesn't matter what the content is for that to be true -- anyone remember Avatar? Take the 3D and the CGI out of that and it's a hackneyed piece of crap only mildly redeemed by Sigourney Weaver. With the 3D, though, it was like riding a psychedelic roller-coaster in your mind, man.

And if that's not enough to convince you, then chew on these apples, friend: You can see it for free on the IMAX screen -- the IMAX screen, for Pete's sakes -- at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, with showings at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. tomorrow, 9 a.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Sunday -- all you have to do is fill out a short survey afterward. Check out the DMNS's website for more information.
