Photos: Aspen Gay Ski Week got gay
Proving definitively that nobody rocks a party like the gays rock a party, a teeming multitude of bears, twinks, butches, drag queens and the generally effete descended on Colorado's most celebrity-friendly resort town this week for the 34th Annual Aspen Gay Ski Week, and they didn't stop until at least six in the morning, if not later. Because we couldn't even hang, we sent photographer Kate Levy to hang around and capture the ridiculousness -- she reports back with these photos. 
The "Angry Birds," featured in the popular iPhone video game, graced the slopes in the Downhill Costume Contest.
"Recession Gaga" was honored with the People's Choice Award in the Downhill Costume Contest.
The Gogo Girls took first place in the Downhill Costume Parade, scoring a perfect 10 and beating the Pea-Cocks in an impromptu dance-off.
Enthusiasm and bravery won this stunning trio, The Pea-Cocks, second place in the Downhill Costume Parade.
Hundreds of gay men, and a few adventurous women, descended upon the Aspen Rec Center -- a more than ideal setting for a wild closing pool party.
