Calling all artists: Birdseed Collective wants you for it's 100 on 100
Formed as a way to promote the work of local musicians and artists of all medias, the small but mighty Birdseed Collective is looking for you -- and your artwork. The group is putting out a call to any artists are interested in submitting to it's 100 on 100, a collaborative art and music show going down April 10 at 7 p.m. at Funky Buddha Lounge.
There is a submission fee of $5, but artists keep all profits if they choose to put their piece up for sale in the show. Birdseed Collective just requires that each participant submit one piece that is 12 inches by 12 inches or smaller and priced at $100 or under. The group has also teamed up with Denver Pro Photo and Like Minded Productions, who are offering discounted rates to photographers and screen printers interested in participating.
On the night of April 10, music from Yonaz of Pirate Signal, Wombmates, Cougarpants, Plastic Children, Society 5280 and American Trash Republic will perform alongside DJs Synergy and Ginger Perry. Birdseed Collective's 100 on 100 showcase is a no cover, 21-and-up event aimed at giving lesser known artists exposure as well as a place to come together and connect with the creative community at large.
If you're interested in submitting, simply send Birdseed Collective an email as soon as possible, and the group will be forwarding on additional information as it gets closer to the show date.
