Eighth annual all-ages Tellerpalooza bash promises to not suck
Now in its eighth year, Teller Elementary School's Tellerpalooza is an annual evening of music, dancing and all-ages fun tomorrow at the Mercury Cafe (2199 California Street). While the annual fundraiser is very much family-friendly, the event has attracted a diverse array of local artists and musicians -- boasting past performances by The Swayback, Devotchka and Wendy Woo. ![]()
This year's installment will feature music by Monroe Monroe, The Heyday, Pedals of Spain, Judge Roughneck and Earmark Saints in the upstairs room of the Merc, along with a performance by the Teller DPS student band. Downstairs, Buntport Theater's own live-action comic book, Trunks, will bring superheroes to life along with interactive games for the little ones. A bake sale will also be in full effect, along with the "Wall of Wine" raffle, a box of assorted bottles donated by Teller parents.
Tellerpalooza 8 kicks off at 4 p.m. and runs until 12:30 a.m. Admission is $18 for a single ticket or $60 for a family four-pack ( and lucky people under the age of three get in free). Tickets and t-shirts can be purchased at the Teller Elementary School website.
