Get free tickets to T.J. Miller's Comedy Central special taping in Boulder
When T.J. Miller's one-hour Comedy Central special airs, it will be a big deal. "It's a big deal," the comedian agrees. "I didn't even have to do a half hour on Comedy Central -- I went straight to an hour." Maybe that's because Miller, who was born and raised in Denver, attended East High School and owns an actual, bona-fide dental grille, is a big deal himself. Well, he's at least C-List. A legit Hollywood up-and-comer, he's had roles in such decent movies as She's Out of my League, Unstoppable and Yogi Bear, but what's more important than his filmography is that he's hilarious. And you can see that hilarity Saturday. For free.
That would be because Miller's special, which will air sometime in the next six months or so, is taping on Saturday at the Boulder Theater (he wanted to tape in Denver, he says, but logistics made Boulder the best option). And because it's an awesome comedy special that will be on TV, Comedy Central needs Miller's stand-up to appear as popular as possible -- meaning the network needs laughing people to be sitting in the Boulder Theater's chairs. That's where you -- and the free-ness -- come in.
To get the tickets, all you have to do is fill out a little form and then wait -- the appropriate people will email you with your tickets if you get them. There are shows at 8 and 10 p.m., and to maximize your chances of getting tickets, the organizers recommend you be open to either possibility.
And stay tuned, because we'll have a full-length interview with Miller here on Show and Tell tomorrow, where we'll chat about owning a dental grille, the absurdity of hip-hop and matching your comedic timing to a bear's.
