When the guy who directed G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra sets out adapt a novel by Dean Koontz -- pretty much the M. Night Syamalan of the literary world -- there's an excellent chance it will be awful. Nevertheless, there may be at least one bright spot for local folks in Steven Sommers' upcoming adaptation of the novelist's Odd Thomas: a bit performance by Denver actress Laurel Harris, who evidently plays the wife of Wyatt Porter, played by Willem Dafoe -- actually, based solely on the cast, the movie might not be that bad. When Dafoe, 50 Cent, Patton Oswalt and possibly Tim Robbins are in your movie, how bad could it be?

In typical Dean Koontz style, the plot follows its titular character, Odd Thomas (Anton Yelchin), a dude with clairvoyant abilities who must solve a mystery involving a serial killer and... some other stuff... if you've read Dean Koontz, you'll pretty much know what to expect. And you will also know that, accompanying Thomas on his vision quest, there will be an assortment of quirky, zany characters to help him along. Among those characters is Shamus Cocobolo, a blind Shaman played by 50 Cent, and Police Chief Wyatt Porter, Dafoe's character.

Harris plays a minor character named Karla, and while we were unable to confirm that she is actually Dafoe's wife (that came from a tip), wouldn't it be totally weird if she was? Seriously, though, because the last time somebody played Willem Dafoe's wife in a movie, that shit got fucked up:
