Ten movies you'll watch no matter how many times you've seen them before

For my dad, it's Some Like it Hot. For me, it's The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. They're catnip movies: the films you'll watch when they come on TV no matter how many times you've seen them before. Commercials? Yes. Edited scenes? Yes. I don't care. Hand me a bowl of popcorn and keep the remote because I am not getting up from the couch until the credits role.

The Mayan is in the midst of its summertime revival series, but Landmark Theatres might as well have called it the catnip series, because most of the films fall on someone's list of movies they can't not watch.

In May and June, the Mayan presented three Clint Eastwood spaghetti Westerns, including The Good, The Bad and The Ugly; the theater is now showing a handful of Billy Wilder movies; The Seven Year Itch played last night, while Some Like it Hot will screen on June 21.

And there's more on the way in July and August, including the first two Godfather movies, Apocalypse Now and four James Bond classics, all with Sean Connery.

Here's my list of catnip flicks. What's yours?

Any Clint Eastwood Western (aside from High Plains Drifter).

Any James Bond movie with Sean Connery and the first three with Roger Moore

Either of the first two Godfather movies

Repo Man

Airplane

The Sandlot

The Princess Bride

Strange Brew

A Christmas Story

The Sting
