Make it rain! Crankworx Colorado continues today at Winter Park with the Rainmaker Air Downhill Slopestyle qualifiers starting at 12:15 p.m. (finals start on Saturday at 1 p.m.). The weekend is also full of spectator-friendly XC and downhill mountain bike races. Better still: Most of the Trestle Bike Park trails are open during Crankworx, with extended hours until 7 p.m. tonight and tomorrow and three lifts running all weekend.

​The Rocky Mountain State Games pick up today where they left off last weekend, at various venues in Colorado Springs, as part of the National Congress of State Games. This weekend's competitions run the entire alphabet of athletic endeavor: Archery, Badminton, Billiards, Bowling, Cycling, Field Hockey, Flag Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Inline Hockey, Judo, Karate, Powerlifting, Racquetball, Rock Climbing, Rugby, Shooting, Softball, Swimming, Track & Field, Triathlon, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

Get Warped! Tomorrow at 3 p.m. Denver's 303 Boards skateshop is hosting Mini-Ramp Qualifiers at its warehouse, 955 Decatur Street, for skateboarders looking to compete at the Warped Tour. Entry to the contest is free, and the top 20 finishers will win free entry to the Warped Tour and a chance to compete at Invesco Field on August 5.

Here there be dragons! Sign up for a $20 Dragon Boat 101 course at Sloan's Lake this weekend during the 11th annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival to learn the difference between Taiwan-style "flag catching" races and traditional Hong Kong-style Dragon Boating. Don't miss the opening ceremony on Saturday at 10 a.m. or the Japanese Obon circle dance featuring Denver Buddhist Temple's Minyo Kai dance group Saturday at 6 p.m.

Takeoff! The 13th annual Aerial Dance Festival gets off the ground on Sunday, with open registration for anyone looking to learn how to fly. Classes run either August 1-5, August 8-12 or both weeks, with an ADF Repertory performance featuring student work on August 13, and include Bungee, Rope, Wings of Steel, Aerial Fabric, Acrobatic Stilts, Rope & Harness, Aerial Improv and Contact Improv. Class prices range from $100 to $260, and feature instructors from Boulder's Frequent Flyers Productions and other aerial dance troupes from the U.S. and Canada. You just might land yourself a high-flying gig while you're at it: Casting auditions for Le Reve in Las Vegas will be held on August 7 and are only open to ADF registrants.
