Divide & Conquer! The Denver Roller Dolls are hosting the Continental Divide & Conquer (the 2011 Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association Championships) November 11-13, and tickets go on sale on Saturday with early-bird pricing through July 31. It ought to be quite a battle: The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls, DRD's cross-town rivals, are the defending champions. And, speaking of the Continental Divide, cheer on the Colorado Roller Derby all-star team this weekend in the 190-mile Epic Rocky Mountain Relay, which started today in Colorado Springs and will end tomorrow in Crested Butte. What could every other roller derby team in the country possibly be doing to keep up with that kind of Rocky-style training?
To further support the Denver Roller Dolls' Mile High Club traveling team as they prep for the Bridgetown Brawl West Region Playoffs in September and the Continental Divide & Conquer, bring your ride to the Hawg Back Saloon in Golden (15800 West Colfax Ave) on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. for the Feeling Dirty? Bike/Car Wash team fundraiser. 
Right in your own backyard! Outdoor Nation is celebrating Summer Fun Day on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at Cherry Creek State Park (4201 South Parker Road), in the middle of this weekend's three-day Outdoor Nation Denver Youth Summit, to draw attention to the wealth of outdoor recreation resources near Denver. A daily parks pass is $9 per vehicle; otherwise Saturday's hiking, biking, paddling, rock-climbing and other family-friendly activities are free, thanks to the North Face, the REI Foundation, Merrell Shoes and the Conservation Fund.
Run for it! Race day registration for the 23rd annual Kids Cure for Cancer 5K in Washington Park begins on Sunday at 7 a.m., one hour before the race. Registration ($30/adult, $15/seniors and youth under 17) and donations benefit the Brent's Place homes and programs for kids with cancer and their families.
Lay siege! New Belgium Brewing brings its Urban Assault Ride bicycle scavenger hunt series to Denver on Sunday at 9 a.m.; online registration closes tonight (Friday) at 5 p.m. and last-chance registration is at Govnr's Park Tavern on Saturday from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. ($120 per two-person team, proceeds benefit Bike Denver). Start and finish are at Skyline Park, and, yes, there will be beer.
(Finger) skate or die! If you're looking at your tub or bathroom sink and thinking it looks skateable, this last one's for you: 303 Boards is one of ten skateboard shops across the country partnering with Tech Deck to release custom finger board toys: Stop by the Denver Skatepark on Sunday at 7 p.m. for the 303 Boards x Tech Deck Collab Board Release Party, and bring your little groms: The 303 Boards crew will be handing out free "I ♥ CO" Tech Decks to everyone who shows up.
