Summer is already starting to close in on us, but that doesn't mean there isn't still a bit of time to get out in the sun and have some fun. If you need to do it on the cheap this weekend, don't fret: We've got plenty of activities and a wildly diverse set of events to choose from. Whether you're just looking to peep some art, go dancing or hunt for dinosaur bones, you'll have something to keep yourself entertained.

Double // Shadow at Beauty Bar (Saturday, free)
Double // Shadow isn't just about dropping booty-shaking grooves, it's about doing so utilizing tracks you'd probably not expect to hear at Beauty Bar. What comes out is dark blend of surprisingly danceable tracks that will have you moving in no time.

John Cole art opening at Marion Street Tattoo and Gallery (Friday, 7:30 p.m., free)
On top of the amazing Kaijin- and Kaiju-inspired art from John Cole, Marion Street Tattoo will also be host to plenty of snacks, drinks and music from Hawks & Doves. Cole's art is running under the title, "Kaijin Peepshow," which loosely translates into: crazy-looking robotic babes. Count us in.

Kyle Kinane at Boulder Comedy Club at the Lazy Dog (Friday, $10)
At a glance, Kyle Kinane is another bearded comedian in a sea of facial hair-adorned comics, but his unique, almost drunken delivery is still a sight to behold. He's one of very few people on the planet who can make a morning routine hilarious.

Damn Gurl! at Glob (Friday, 10 p.m., $5 donation)
Four DJs will be spinning sweaty tunes throughout the evening that will get your booty shaking in no time. While that's all well and good, the most important part is probably the diversity of the music you'll be hearing; with tons of different styles being represented, you'll certainly find yourself surprised at one point or another.

Best in Show Puppy Auction at Mod Livin' (Saturday, free)
Despite our initial excitement, Best in Show Puppy Auction does not actually feature any real dogs being auctioned, but it does have a collection of unique art pieces utilizing artist Eero Aarnio's classic white puppy design. All the pieces will be auctioned off for charity tonight, which means you'll be able to take one of these adorable pieces home with you right away.
