"Brush your teeth with anger" is my first "Week of a Woman" photo
I'm not a photographer. I don't even own a camera. But that's not going to stop me from participating in Colorado Mills's "Week of a Woman"photo contest, going on now through October 9. 
Grrr.
The contest works like this: Anyone with the plausible means to "capture everyday women on film" can enter (I don't think you have to be a female behind the camera to participate), and photograph women being women and doing woman stuff for the full week.
My first installment, "Brush your teeth with anger," appropriately captures not only the way I feel about having no dental insurance, but also how proud I am of the silk pajamas I recently found at the Goodwill on Broadway. I was later informed by my dude friends that it is gross to buy pajamas or sheets at a thrift store -- but it is my life, and I will continue to do what I want.

Of course, as a woman, I am naturally proud of the deal I received on such fancy hand-me-down sleepwear (I spent five whole dollars). Also as a woman, I like to tell everyone about good bargains. You know us women -- we sure love to shop. Besides, who needs affordable dental care when I can look so fabulous in pink PJs?
If you were wondering if I actually took my computer into the bathroom to catch this live action shot, I sure did. And I plan on taking it to the gym, the grocery store and places where I can find cats to photograph. Because all women love cats.
Photos should be submitted to the mall's Flickr from now through October 12, and the best entries will be awarded $100 to $250 American Express gift cards.
