The 2010 Lumberjack party
Things are starting to slow down a bit with Thanksgiving creeping up on us, but that doesn't mean there isn't still a little fun to be had on the cheap this weekend. In fact, you can hit up a date night with the Buntport Theater, a midnight movie, a clothing swap or even a lumberjack party. There's plenty else to, so much, in fact, we've tallied everything you can do for under a Hamilton below. For a full guide to upcoming events in Denver, be sure to check our calendar page at westword.com/calendar.

Win a Date with the Buntport Theater at MCA Denver (Friday, $5)
If you've been having trouble finding a date recently, the kind folks at the Buntport Theater want to help you out. First, they audition you and if you're picked, you go on a date with the whole troupe. Yes, all of them. They'll escort you around the museum, show you the ropes and if you're lucky, maybe they'll show you off a little too. If you don't get picked, you can still follow them around to see what happens.

The Room or Metropolis at The Esquire Theatre (Friday, $8)
Two amazing midnight movies to choose from this week, one, Metropolis is one of the greatest science fiction movies of all time and the other, The Room is the worst movie of all time. Take your pick, you'll have an awesome time either way.

West of Center: Art and the Counterculture Experiment in America, 1965-1977 at MCA Denver (Friday, $10)
This show made its big opening on Thursday, but that doesn't mean it's not worth popping into today. In the wake of events like the Occupy Movement, it's also an especially interesting time to learn about political movements of times past, and some of the protest and counterculture art from the '60s and '70s is the best place to start.

Denver Arts Week at Denver Metro Area (Friday-Saturday, free)
In case you haven't noticed, Denver Arts Week is in full swing, but as the title suggests, it's only a week long, which means it's coming to its inevitable end this Saturday. That means you'll need to hit the pavement to find some great deals on art, parties and more.

Denver Underground Film Festival at the Unitarian Society of Denver (1400 Lafayette, Friday-Sunday, $10)
If the Starz Film Festival is too much hype and other nonsense for you, you might be down to dig into the Denver Underground Film Festival, which is a celebration of all movies -- ahem -- underground. That includes the avant-garde and plenty of foreign films to boot, so it should be an awesome time for those looking for something a little more out there.

And Then She Saved Clothing Swap at Super Ordinary Gallery (Saturday, free)
Clothing swaps are often the best time to get rid of some old threads and find new ones, but they're always difficult to really coordinate with people who might share the same style as you. So, in an effort to bring people together, Super Ordinary decided it was time to rock their own and you should have no problem finding like-minded people to share your style with, provided your style is awesome.
