T.J. Miller's No Real Reason debuts on Comedy Central tomorrow night
Ever since he attained cinematic immortality with a moving performance as Ranger Jones in last year's live-action adaptation of Yogi Bear, T.J. Miller has been pretty much the greatest thing to come out of Denver ever. But the best part is, he loves us back: Six months ago, the East High grad, who now resides in Hollywood, returned to the metro area to film his Comedy Central Special T.J. Miller: No Real Reason at the Boulder Theater. But if you missed that date, no need to weep inconsolably, because soon you can see the show in all its glory when No Real Reason debuts on Comedy Central tomorrow night.
And it will be well worth watching, because Miller really is a hilarious comedian, with a Monty Python-esque sense of the weird and the deadpan absurd. Funny faces figure prominently in the bit below, for example, from when he appeared on Conan O'Brien's show last year -- and yes, they are actually honest-to-God funny.
But hilarity notwithstanding, probably our favorite aspect of T.J. Miller is his unwavering loyalty: "I really want to make [Denver] a part of who I am as a comedian," he told us when we last talked back in May. "I want to talk about being from Denver and I like representing Denver and I like to say the word Denver."
The special airs tomorrow night, November 12, at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central. Don't miss him repping.
