This afternoon's holiday event at the beautiful Byers-Evans House Museum could be just your cup of tea. The Christmas tea that starts at 1:30 p.m. includes a tour of the circa 1883 house that was once the home of William Byers, founder of the Rocky Mountain News, as well as refreshments. And then you can walk off your snacks while viewing the Siobhan Keleher-iPhoneography exhibit that won Best of Show in the 2010 Denver Plein Air exhibit in the Byers-Evans House Gallery next door.

Keep going: The Denver Plein Air 2011 exhibit is now on display, too, in the seventh floor gallery of the Denver Public Library, just a block away.

The Byers-Evans Christmas Tea will be repeated at 1:30 p.m. on December 14, 16, 19 and 21, with a children's tea on Saturday, December 17. The cost is $16 for History Colorado members, $20 nonmembers, $15 children; make a reservation at 303-620-4933.
