Hold your horses! Animo pop-up store pops up in Cherry Creek
Animo, an Italian company specializing in equestrian wear, has set up a pop-up store at 2426 Third Avenue in Cherry Creek, which opened last night, is open again today and will open tomorrow at 9 a.m.

The label prides itself on being "100 percent made in Italy -- the fabric as well," says Armando Hassey, a successful show rider who is head of North American distribution.
The label is not just for equestrians, though. Animo is also featuring a new leisure line, with stylish Italian jeans and sweaters. "Italy likes to push the envelope and keep everything young and hip," says operations manager Kimberly Ebinger.

There are also down and waterproof jackets that could bring some Italian flair to the slopes, made of breathable material with sealed seams for a clean, crisp look.
Animo has only been in the United States for about a year. The warehouse, where Hassey is based, is located in Parker, at the center of one of the biggest equestrian communities in the country. That made Cherry Creek a natural spot for a pop-up holiday store, where it's offering 10 percent on any purchase of $400 or more and also serving complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres.
Andrew Wise Armando Hassey demonstrates the water-proofing of the waterproof line -- note the beads of water.
The store will pop up again for the debut of the spring line, but the company is definitely looking at something more permanent. "We want to open boutiques around the country," Hassey says.
