Fallene Wells throws a homestretch party at TACtile for her Kickstarter campaign
Westword MasterMind (class of 2010) and Project Runway alumnus Fallene Wells has a dream -- to produce a vintage-inspired line of clothing and start CoSewn, a local apparel manufacturing company. She's been inching ever closer to that lofty aspiration since she launched a $20,000 Kickstarter campaign in January. But it's a lot of money, and she needs to raise it in five days...or lose nearly $8,000 that's already been pledged.
You still have time to help Fallene reach her goal by donating directly to her Kickstarter. But tonight, you can also get a swell fashion-forward look at what your money would support when Fallene shows off some of her proposed Modern Nouveau Collection's prototypes on mannequins and models from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the TACtile Textile Arts Center, the pet project of Dianne Denholm, one of Westword's 2012 MasterMinds.
The party includes food and music, as well as a chance to learn more about TACtile, which just debuted its latest gallery show, A Fantasy Fiber Forest, yesterday. That's a lot to do and see -- and it will only cost you a $20 donation at the Kickstarter site (mention that you are attending the fundraiser) and a $2 donation at the door. Do it for Denver!
