All the snow that fell across the Front Range Friday had fishing enthusiasts thinking about just what will happen when all that white stuff melts -- pouring water into this state's streams, rivers and lakes.

To get a taste of the country's liquid assets, they should head to Anthology Fine Art, where the second annual Surface Film II, a show of professional fly-fishing photography that opened with a special event last Thursday, and will stay up through February.

The exhibit was organized by Greenbacks of Trout Unlimited, and proceeds from sales of the framed prints will benefit Trout Unlimited's work to conserve Colorado's coldwater fisheries and rivers

This year, show attendees get to vote for which photograph deserves "best-in-show" honors. But Jack Macadoo's vote is already in: for the photo above. Still, as he notes;

I'm surprised---I would have taken the Virgin Mary for being more of a tilapia kinda gal.

Fair warning: Anthology Fine Art, which is owned by Zach and Kendra Custer and offers custom framing as well as shows by emerging artists, is open by appointment only on Monday; call 303-534-1331. Regular hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 10 1.m.-5 p.m. Saturday.
