Five Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Denver this weekend
Cinco de Mayo may not be a huge holiday in Mexico (contrary to popular belief, May 5 is not Independence Day in that country), but it's definitely a major party here in Denver. 
Here are five Cinco de Mayo celebrations guaranteed to turn your weekend into a major fiesta.
5. Lucha Libre at El Diablo
Who: Anyone who loves lucha libre wrestling, drink specials and free music. (And who doesn't?)
What: A giant outdoor barbecue/lucha libre qualifying competition with live salsa bands and DJs.
Where: El Diablo Restaurant at 101 Broadway in Denver.
When: 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, May 3; 6-9 p.m. on Friday, May 4 and 12-10 p.m. on Saturday, May 5.
How much: It's free! But if you'd like to enjoy any of El Diablo's drinks or menu items, you'll have to pay. Still, there are plenty of specials.

4. Cinco de Mayo Burlesque Fiesta
Who: Anyone who likes a little skin with their margaritas.
What: A Latin-themed burlesque show with music, comedy and, of course, ladies!
Where: Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret on the 16th Street Mall.
When: 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3; 11 p.m. Friday, May 4 and 11 p.m. Saturday, May 5. Must be 21 and over for the Friday and Saturday shows.
How much: $25 for general admission tickets, available online.
3. 25th Anniversary Cinco de Mayo Festival
Who: Anyone! There's something for everyone at this festival.
What: A weekend-long festival celebrating Mexican culture, with music, food and the fifth annual Green Chili Bowl Cook-Off.
Where: Civic Center Park.
When: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6.
How much: Free! Free Free Free!
