3 Ring Weekend at Copper Mountain Resort (Friday-Sunday, free)
If you're looking to the mountains as relief from the heat, Copper Mountain has a weekend full of fun events. Whether you're watching music from Spin Cycle and DJ Laundry, a screening of the film Hoot, or participating in physical activities ranging from rock climbing to bungee jumping, and more, you're sure to have a great time outside the city.

Justice League Factory Party at the Denver Design District (Saturday, free)
The Justice League of Street Food really is the superhero team of food trucks and carts, and they'll unite at a party tonight to provide Denverites with tons of great eats to choose from. Pick from Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs, the Denver Pie Truck, Yatai Hand-Rolled Sushi and nine more mobile vendors, and then join in a chalk-art contest on the street. It's sure to be an appetizing evening.

Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge at City Park (Saturday, free)
In need of a pick-me-up? There's no better cure for depression than sunshine and adorable animals. Rather than sitting inside watching videos on YouTube all day, go out and see the real thing at the park. Watch as dogs compete in events from diving to relays and cheer on the canine cuties.

Beauty Bar 2nd Anniversary at Beauty Bar (Saturday, free)
Beauty Bar has been in Denver for two years, and that's definitely a reason to celebrate. Drink signature cocktails, watch video DJ sets from Peanut Butter Wolf and dance, of course. And rejoice in the fact that you can drink a martini and get a manicure all in one place.

Covey, Lin Short, Ware & Vogel Read Poems at Counterpath (Sunday, free)
After a weekend filled with dancing and debauchery, it's always nice to take in something a little more thoughtful. And Counterpath consistently brings in a range of diverse poets who give exciting readings -- all for free!
