It's Christmas in July (and August) at Denver's Dangerous Theatre

As the long, hot summer of 2012 blazes on, the idea of Christmas in July starts to look pretty cool. But that's not the only reason the cabaret-style Denver's Dangerous Theatre is bringing back an abbreviated version of its, um, Christmas classic, Kentucky Claus, a slightly raunchy backwoods holiday story about a bunch of yokels caught in a blizzard, for just one weekend, with Santa in tow.

Dangerous will donate $5 of every ticket to the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance, an organization currently providing services to Aurora shooting victims. And, if you mention the theater's Facebook event page, you'll also get a $5 discount off the $15 fee. Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Even better? Next weekend, Dangerous will restage another holiday show, the silly whodunnit Who Killed Santa?, replete with Christmas song parodies, at 8 p.m. August 3 and 7 p.m. August 5. Same deal applies.
