Denver's toughest tickets: Did Mumford, Book of Mormon or GABF make the list?
Bruce Springsteen tickets go on sale Monday, August 13 at 10 a.m. They'll be gone within minutes, if not seconds -- only to reappear shortly thereafter on eBay, StubHub and other aftermarket ticket sites for two, three or even four times their original cost.![]()
Bruce Springsteen
It's nothing new. But it sure gets old. Remember the World Series in 2007? How about the Radiohead show just last March? The latest mess was the sale for the Great American Beer Festival, which old out within minutes (seconds?), shocking buyers and the Boulder-based Brewers Association, which holds the event.
GABF is one of five upcoming events that makes our list of Denver's toughest tickets. Click through for the rest.
5. Mumford & Sons![]()
Mumford & Sons
Red Rocks Amphitheater
August 28-29
Lots of people logged onto the the Internet to grab Mumford & Sons tix -- and not without haste. But scalpers got to them first. Both shows sold out immediately, and there are now hundreds -- at prices that are all over the map -- up on Craigslist and other sites. Banjos were never so popular.
