It took 1,600 hours and 10,000 pounds of marble for Colorado artist Francisco Sotomayor to create "American Woman," a monumental sculpture.
Reviews are mixed -- both of the piece, and of our recent interview with Sotomayer.

I do like the nipples. . .But listening to or reading interviews with blowhard artists going on about their bullshit makes me want to put a pencil through my eyes/ears.
