As we get deeper into fall, it's sometimes hard to tell if that seasonal chill is from the cold or the pre-Halloween horror. That's especially true if you've been to Field of Corpses or City of the Dead, two of Denver's most terrifying haunted houses, which feature blood, gore, undead debauchery and other soul-crushing scenes that will leave your throat dry and your pants wet. Westword's resident haunted house expert, Aaron Thackeray, stopped by both pits of despair on his most recent tour of Denver's scariest haunts.
