Food Face 2.0 at Luxe De Vil Salon (Friday, free)
If you missed it at Groundswell Gallery last year, here's another chance to see Andrew Novick's Food Face photography exhibit featuring meatballs, onion rings and other edibles on people's faces. You can put some food in your face, too; the Liberated Cupcake will be providing complimentary vegan cupcakes to munch on.
"Open and Extensible to Insanely Great; or, What It Could Have Been Like to Use Your Computer" at Counterpath (Friday, free)
Counterpath consistently puts on thought-provoking, interesting literary events, and this night promises another one. University of Colorado-Boulder assistant professor Lori Emerson will give a talk entitled "Open and Extensible to Insanely Great; or, What It Could Have Been Like to Use Your Computer" at the space; it's described as uncovering "the cultural and technological shift that made way for contemporary digital interfaces (especially the iPhone/iPad multitouch interface) that are closed off to creative experimentation." Come listen to a different take on the devices that are now so deeply entwined with our culture.

Music legend (and a friend of Cassady) David Amram will be at this special event, offering a musical performance that's definitely not to be missed.
OMGlitter! at Lowbrow Denver (Friday, free)
Everything is getting sparkly tonight at Lowbrow, where artist Zach Burk will display his new, glittery art. There will also be music from B.Sue, food trucks, and free drinks and candy. Ride the sugar high while you look at deliciously shimmering art.
