Valentine's Day fell on Thursday this year, but some of the love will carry through the weekend. Whether a V-Day-themed roller-skating party is your jam or you're in the mood for a little friendly Vogue-posing competition, there are plenty of parties to choose from across the city -- and none of them cost more than $10. Here's our guide to some of the best comedy shows, fundraisers, spoken-word events and dance floors to tear up this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Lipgloss says goodbye to DJ Option 4 at Beauty Bar (Friday, free before 10 p.m., $5 after)
The decade-strong dance night is hosting a bang-up goodbye party for resident DJ option4, who has been dropping deep-house beats for a diverse crowd since 2011. Lipgloss Co-founder Boyhollow will also be spinning as Beauty Bar provides the perfect-sized dance floor to keep the feeling going all night.
Spoken Word for Neglected Souls -- a benefit for Denver Rescue Mission at Denver West (Friday, $10 donation)
Denver has established itself as a viable city for spoken word, and tonight's event at Denver West will showcase that. Beginning with an open mike at 9 p.m. before launching into a featured poet series, the gathering will collect donations for the Denver Rescue Mission, which offers services, support and a voice to homeless individuals in the area.
The Peanut Butter Jamz at Lumonics Light & Sound Gallery (Friday, $10 donation)
Lumonics invites one and all to get weird within its multi-sensory gallery space tonight for a throwdown with good things in mind. For this new party series focusing on aiding the hungry, guests are asked to bring food donations: The space will be collecting bread, peanut butter and jam. Join DJs Dave Parrish, Dagan, S33d4, Matt Sloka, Hazy Meadow and B.Funky inside the illuminated studio for a dance night of glowing proportions.
Colorado Mammoth vs. Edmondton Rush at Pepsi Center (Saturday, tickets start at $10)
Get some big lacrosse game action as the Colorado Mammoth take on the Edmonton Rush in a great match-up at the Pepsi Center. With tickets starting at just ten bucks, the 7 p.m. game is a great way to kick off a night downtown; after the game, head into LoDo for drinks and dancing in the later hours.
Down and Derby Is for Lovers at City Hall (Saturday, $10)
This ongoing, adult-friendly roller skating party carries the Valentine's Day vibe into the weekend with its lovers-friendly theme. Always a costume party of your choice -- may we suggest something red, white and pink? -- the roller disco has found a new home at City Hall, with two floors for skating. Local mixmasters DJ Chonz and Mike Disco are sure to keep the party cruising with a diverse mix of new and old school jams.
