Starting under "I See What You Mean", aka the Big Blue Bear, at the Colorado Convention Center at 6:30 p.m., Loops founder Broox Pulford will lead the pack on a ride, and then it's on to Mouth House for a show featuring Thee Dang Dangs, The Photo Atlas, Zebroids and more.
Untitled #54 (Turf) at Denver Art Museum (Friday, $5-10)
In conjunction with the current exhibition Georgia O'Keeffe in New Mexico: Architecture, Katsinam, and the Land, this 54th edition of the Denver Art Museum's Untitled series looks to the land for inspiration. Local guru of everything Andrew Novick will discuss the art of Astroturf, and as an added bonus, artist Nick Cave will hold open auditions for dancers for his summer exhibition, Sojourn. Untitled events are included with general museum admission.
Nerd Prom 2012
Nerd Prom 2013 at Summit Music Hall (Friday, $10 advance, $15 at the door)
A fun take on high-school redemption, this year's Nerd Prom is all about being extra nerdy. Dress in your finest formal wear and Buddy Holly specs and dance to prom-throwers Bop Skizzum plus Filthy T, the Messers and Medic; KTCL's Alf will be spinning between sets.
Art Lounge #3: Love On The Reel at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (Friday, Free)
Made for and by middle- and high-school teens, this night at the museum will feature cinematic work by peers and an open discussion on healthy relationships and sexual awareness.
