Kaeli Barrett and James Hennessy were the first two in line, arriving at 4:30 a.m. this morning to purchase tickets for The Book of Mormon.
The people who lined up outside the Seawell Grand Ballroom to purchase tickets for The Book Of Mormon's second Denver run may have been the lucky ones. At least they could hold onto their purchases. But dozens, if not hundreds of people, who tried to buy online at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts website ran into many of the same frustrating issues as they did last year when the show was in town for the first time.

Tickets for the show -- which will be in town in October 22 - November 24 -- went on sale at 10 a.m., but just ten minutes later, the web site showed them all as being sold out. That wasn't the case, however. More infuriating was the site, which kicked people out after taking their credit card information, gave out fault information, or timed people out.

As of 12:30 p.m. today, the web site says, "If you are encountering difficulty purchasing tickets for The Book of Mormon please close your browser, clear your cache, and open a new web browser." But doing that doesn't work either, and people are taking out their anger on the DCPA's Facebook page in droves.

For photos of the line this morning, turn the page.

Got presale tickets.  Got more yesterday.  They're still not sold out, which makes the whining just that much more hilarious.  Stop badgering the DCPA.  The same thing happens anytime a server is overloaded ANYWHERE.  They were very responsive, resolved the issues relatively quickly in the face of atypical levels of demand (which it would be ridiculous for them to build to), and we're lucky this show is even coming here so just be thankful and patient, and give them some credit instead of acting like spoiled, rude demanding, entitled children
