We all know that science doesn't bite, and sometimes it totally blows our minds. But as scientific spokesmen, from Mr. Wizard to Bill Nye the Science Guy, have proven to countless generations over the years, science is also oodles of fun.

That's the premise of Denver Museum of Nature and Science astrobiology nut Julia DeMarine's monthly Space in Your Face night at Deer Pile, and tonight's will be no exception. The topic will be "Habitability" -- the where and how of whether or not life might exist elsewhere in the universe -- and that's the very definition of a really good time, when it comes to speculative science.

DeMarines promises smart discussion on the changing definition of habitable zones in space, along with the usual outer space raps and a quiz with prizes. Lift-off is at 8 p.m. and admission is free, so you have no excuses. Science. It's the new rock and roll. Visit the Facebook event page for details.
