Xtro at Crash 45 (Tuesday)
Get your horror fix at Blood-Thirsty Theresa's impeccably curated Cruel Autumn Horror Film Series tonight. This month's terrifying choice is Xtro, an early '80s, low-budget British flick that combines midget clowns, alien abduction and toys trying to kill people. Own It at the Auraria Campus (Wednesday)
This free party put on by Metro State's Center for Innovation promises a smorgasbord of art-related offerings. Catch music from bands like Vices I Admire and James and the Devil, as well as a fashion show with designs by Stephanie O., Kristen LittleJohn Equillibrium and more; there will also be food trucks and art vendors on hand.

Word 4 Word at the Meadowlark (Thursday)
There's a new poetry night in town. Word 4 Word at the Meadowlark just launched as a regular poetry contest in which poets compete in audience-judged rounds for a chance at the impressive, $200 prize. See some spoken word or register online to enter the contest.
