Photos: A bully parade in downtown Littleton

Breed-specific legislation might be a hot-button issue in the metro area, but that didn't stop local American pit bull terrier advocates and their canine best friends from proudly walking down Main Street in Littleton on Saturday to promote positive awareness of the breed. As costumed bullies and other breeds marched in the third annual Colorado Pit Bull Parade, photographer Darian Simon was there to record the whole dog party. Here's a photo preview; see the full slide show here.

Careful there, Johnny. Based on your family name alone, a hefty portion of the "native" population have preemptively deemed YOU to be "illegal."

@John Michael Alvarez Pit bulls are still not legal to have in Denver...for now ;-) PBAD was in Littleton which is a welcoming community. Many areas surrounding Denver recognize that breed neutral laws are what make sense. For info about areas with existing BSL, our site www.coloradogs.org can show you where.
