The Shoulders We Stand On at the Savoy at Curtis Park (Friday, $10)
In honor of Black History Month, Slam Nuba will pay tribute to those who paved the way with a special evening of poetry. See artists like Suzi Q. Smith, Dr. Jen Rinaldi and more display their way with the spoken word.

New Paintings by David Kammerzell at Von Tornow Gallery (Friday, free)
Inspired by pop art and nostalgia, David Kammerzell's art plays off old-school images of advertisements, vintage cars and smiling Americana, but gives them a modern twist. He'll display new work at this free opening tonight.

Untitled #64 (Framed) at the Denver Art Museum (Friday, $10)
This monthly party at the Denver Art Museum is all devoted to the frame: both in the physical and abstract sense. From a live auction based on the 1970s board game Masterpiece to new work from photographer Sigri Strand, there will be plenty to keep you entertained.

White Space at the DWR Boulder Studio (Friday, $5 donation)
The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art will throw a party tonight to benefit its exhibitions and programming, and the audience will get to benefit from seeing artists in action. Molly Bounds, Catherine Cartwright, Sandra Fettingis and others will create pieces in front of a live audience; their works will then be auctioned off to support the museum.
