Museum Quality Drinking at Museum of Contemporary Art (Friday, $5)
The rooftop deck at the MCA is really something special, with great views of the city. Tonight it will be open not just for drinking, but live music from Robert Rutherford andAl Scholl. For $5, not only do you get the view and the concert, but access to the entire museum.
Jon Wirtz at Mile High Winery (Friday, free)
Tomorrow you're going to rock it at the Westword Music Showcase, right? So tonight's a good time to chill while sipping a nice glass of wine and listening to the smooth sound of some free jazz.
Denver Greek Festival at Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral (Friday-Sunday, $5)
Get in touch with your inner Greek at the 49th annual Denver Greek Festival, where the music and dancing never stops. And don't forget the food -- oh, the food. New to this year's festival will be live cooking demonstrations, where you can learn how to make dolmades or chocolate baklava.
PrideFest at Civic Center (Saturday-Sunday, free)
We are Denver, we like to party -- so much so that Denver's PrideFest is now the third largest in the nation. It starts with a parade down Colfax from Cheesman to Civic Center Park, where you can enjoy music, cultural events and kids' activities all weekend long. The celebration can get wild, so bring plenty of energy...and sunscreen.
Go Skateboarding Day inmetro Denver (Saturday, free)
Skateboarding is an everyday activity, but today we are going to really celebrate it. There are are a ton of events around town, so check with your local skate shop to see what's going on around you. Notable activities include meeting some pros at 303 Boards, a barbecue at Emage and a footage party at Wahoo's at the end of the day.
