10 things to do for $10 in Denver this weekend (7 free!), June 20-22
Bowling Night in America at AMF (Saturday, free)
Dude, free bowling -- it's a no-brainer. AMF is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for "Most People Bowling Simultaneously," so it's opening up all of its lanes in the country for free. Bowl your way into the record books.
Saving Mr. Banks at Skyline Park (Saturday, free)
This movie screening sounds particularly fun because you can bring your dog. How often do you get to watch a movie on a twenty-foot screen with your dog? Even if you don't have a pet, the evening promises to be plenty entertaining.
Art on the Farm at Three Leaf Farm (Sunday, free)
Take a trip a north of Denver for the scenery -- both on the way and at your destination, Three Leaf Farm, where local artisans will be exhibiting in a barn. At the same time you're checking out handcrafted jewelry, prayer flags, paintings and more, you can look over the farm animals. Since Three Leaf Farm provides food for many local restaurants, you may recognize some of them when you go out to eat next week.
Death Cafe at Fairmount Mortuary (Sunday, free)
The Denver chapter of Death Cafe invites everyone to come discuss one of the most mysterious of human topics: death. The Fairmount Mortuary setting is appropriate, and there will be cake -- which is never bad.
We Know You Are Watching at Buntport Theater (Sunday, $5)
It's no secret that we live in a "Big Brother" system. According to "We Know You Are Watching" curators Christina Battle and Adán De La Garza, the United States captures endless hours of surveillance footage every week. Through various short films, they hope to educate you on how to take back your anonymity.
