10 things to do for $10 in Denver this weekend (7 free!), July 11-13

Categories: Things To Do

Last weekend was packed full of America-themed activities, something that may have taken a toil on your wallet. This weekend has plenty of activities to keep you and your bank account cool, though. Try out a German biergarten, pet a goat at a concert or watch some soccer on a giant screen -- it's all cheap fun.

The Westword calendar always has your complete listing for fun events around town, and please let everyone know about events we may have missed in the comments section.

Lawn Concert: Jayme Stone at Clyfford Still Museum (Friday, free)
If you can't remember the last time you heard good banjo music, you might want to check out the front lawn of the Clyfford Still Museum tonight. Stone is known for mixing folk, jazz and chamber music on the banjo to create a truly unique sound. Access to the museum will be free as well.

Denver's Biergarten Festival at T.E.V Edelweiss Pavilion (Friday-Sunday, $1-$7)
Taking a trip to Germany could put your finances on hold for a while, but heading to Morrison for a slice of the German life will be pretty reasonable on the wallet. Bratwurst, pretzels and beer will be plentiful at this summer festival.

Colorado Black Arts Festival at City Park (Friday-Sunday, free)
This festival has everything from jazz and reggae to dancing and parades. Check out a drum circle, or test your African American history on a scavenger hunt, it's free fun for the whole family.

Bands at the Farm at Broken Shovels Farm (Friday, suggested donation $5-$10)
This farm is an adorable mixture of goats and chickens, and tonight will also feature live music. Pack a picnic and lounge out to the sounds of Shake It Like A Caveman, The Keys and the farms very own Reverend Deadeye.

Consignment Crawl at Denver Metro Area (Saturday, free)
Today happens to be International Resale Day, if you were not aware, so check out one of the thirty shops around town that will be participating. There will be refreshments provided at all the retailers, so make a day of it, see if you can hit all thirty.
