Prolific Wyoming detective-fiction writer C.J. Box, known for his Joe Pickett mysteries, comes to the Tattered Cover in Highlands Ranch to sign what must be his umpteenth installment in the series (the first was published in 2001), but with a twist: Shots Fired packages his tried-and-true tales in short-form. Only some of them feature nosy game warden Pickett, but all of them take place in Pickett's dark and woodsy milieu. Just the thing for folks who can't get enough of C.J. Box.
