Categories: Things To Do

Happy Colorado Day! In honor of this state's birthday, you'll find plenty of free activities around town. Start the weekend out right with tonight's free screening in Civic Center Park of the original, 1969 True Grit , which was filmed in Western Colorado. The scenery is stunning, and so is John Wayne's performance, which won an Academy Award. Bring a picnic or visit one of the food trucks that will roll in at 6:30; the movie starts at dusk.
