Carmen Tisch.
The case of Carmen Tisch, the 36-year-old woman who scratched, punched, rubbed and then peed in close proximity to a $30 million painting at the new Clyfford Still Museum, is definitely weird. But it's certainly not the first act of strange art vandalism Colorado has seen (though it's in the running for the grossest, thanks to the pee).

Here's a list of five other instances of odd art vandalism.

Occupy Facebook: The five worst anti-protest memes

Categories: Top Five

occupy5_opt.jpg
So, if Facebook is the future of social discourse, it should be no surprise that it's been a forum for Occupy Wall Street discussions and visual arguments. Pictures, cartoons, graphics -- anti-Occupy Facebookers have taken to the virtual streets of Zuckerberg's city to fight Occupy Wall Street supporters. Some of the arguments are clever. Most are not. (Those are confusing, logically fallacious and unrepresentative of the situation.) In case you've missed these in your news feed, here are the five worst anti-Occupy memes. Because unlike Kindergarten, not all opinions are good ones.

Best tattoo ever? Or the worst?
The sun finally came out this weekend after a long run of wild summer weather -- remember the hail and flooding last week? And yes, the wait was worth it. So what better way to spend a hot Saturday than at the pool? By going one bigger: Water World.

Apparently most of Denver had the same notion, as Water World was packed with people, lines and sunburns. And tattoos. Holy moly, there was a lot of ink. Some tattoos made us cringe, while others had us staring for more than just a second or two. Actually, we've been thinking about getting a tattoo for some time, and now we are certain which designs we don't want inked on our skin, thanks to these five Water World-goers. Check 'em out.

The strangest social networking sites that would benefit from Facebook video chat

zuckiego.jpg
In case you haven't heard, Facebook got two very cool upgrades recently, with the introduction of group chat and video chat -- thanks, in large part, to a partnership with Skype. Props to Mark Zuckerberg though -- being able to video chat with friends who are "online" on Facebook is not only super awesome, it's super easy and really simple to do too (albeit the live video is a bit slow on WiFi connections). All you need to do is download the plugin, if you haven't already.

What's in a name? Otto von Habsburg's real name and other ridiculously crazy monikers

Categories: Top Five

You can call me Franz.
This week the world mourns the death of Otto von Habsburg, who championed world unity, opposed the Nazi movement, served as a member of the European Parliament and was the last Crown Prince of Austria-Hungary. You know, back when Austria and Hungary were hyphenated, in 1916. That means von Habsburg was the last Crown Prince at the age of four. Most four year olds consider sleeping through the night without wetting the bed an accomplishment, so von Habsburg's young rule is certainly impressive. However, that's not the most impressive thing about the boy prince. Von Habsburg's name wins out as his most defining characteristic, because -- get this -- Otto von Habsburg's full name is Franz Joseph Otto Robert Maria Anton Karl Max Heinrich Sixtus Xavier Felix Renatus Ludwig Gaetan Pius Ignatius von Habsburg.

Canada Day, shmanada day: Why the 4th of July is better

Categories: Top Five

Our bikini models don't have to wear snow boots and mittens. Because it's July.
With Canada Day (tomorrow, although celebrations are starting today) and the 4th of July (Monday) so close together, it's important to do what Americans do best: compare our independence day to that of our neighbors and observe that once again, our shit kicks way more ass than other countries' shit. Fuck yeah. While Canadians will spend tomorrow singing "O Canada," curling and saying "excuse me" when bumping drunkingly into one another to avoid bar fights and street brawls, America will be busy getting ready for a full three-day weekend of burning shit, blowing shit up, fisticuffs and, possibly, drunk driving. We don't know yet -- we'll have to see how much ass we feel like kicking. So in honor of our favorite lady, Lady Liberty, here's a nod to the top five reasons 4th of July kicks Canada Day's ass.

Today in Stoke: Top five Go Skateboarding Day celebrations in Colorado

jim-phillips-creates-2011-go-skateboarding-day-poster-large.jpg_480x601.jpg
Today is the 9th annual international observance of Go Skateboarding Day, a Summer Solstice celebration that's just our style. The skater holiday was originally created as a marketing ploy by the International Association of Skateboard Companies, but has since been embraced by public skateparks and independent skate shops everywhere. It's become a Go Skateboarding Day tradition to amass as many skateboarders as possible at some cool local skate shop, then skate en masse through town to the local skatepark, to the consternation of fist-shaking motorists. And where better to celebrate than in Colorado, where, by our count, there are now at least 157 skatepark destinations?

Check out our guide to the local haps, after the jump...
